*** Stunningly high-quality piano and a full range of keyboard sound engines ***
KORG Module has five dedicated sound engines, providing a number of high-quality sounds that can be played back on your iOS using the "NATIVE ENGINE”. These engines feature technology that was developed for KORG's historic line of workstations and synthesizers including: Acoustic Piano, Electric Piano, Clav, Organ, and Multi. Each display has carefully selected parameters, making it convenient and easy to adjust the sounds. We’ve also carefully ensured ideal playability and designed the system for ultra-low latency. Once you experience the quality of the sounds being produced from the slim body of your iPad, you'll agree that Module is radically different than anything else currently on the market.

*** With just an iPad/iPhone and the new microKEY, you can enjoy great sound anywhere ***
KORG Module and the microKEY are the best possible combination for a mobile performance environment. With the new microKEY which supports a damper, or the microKEY Air which provides a wireless connection via Bluetooth MIDI, your iPad can transform into a high-quality sound module. In your room, in a practice studio, or performing on stage,, it's easy to set up and immerse yourself in a superb playing experience wherever you are. Of course you can also use any MIDI keyboard that can connect to your iPad via Apple Lightning - USB camera adapter. The velocity curve function conforms the sound to your playing dynamics, so you'll be able to perform comfortably using any MIDI keyboard. Even if you don't have a MIDI keyboard, you can use the apps on-screen keyboard, phrase function, or MIDI player to play the sounds. The MIDI player can load and play standard MIDI files for your listening enjoyment.

*** Mobile music production in tandem with KORG Gadget ***
You can also use the high-quality KORG Module sounds inside KORG Gadget, the mobile music production app. If you have Module and Gadget, the five tools Salzburg, Montreal, Alexandria, Firenze, and Glasgow are added inside, allowing access the same way as Gadget. These five powerful gadgets will add even more variety to your music productions, raising your music to the next level. Whether for performance or for production, both of these apps deliver ultimate sound.

Korg is now starting to suffer from a reality distortion field

Yeah this is good app but its too big for ipad and other mobile devices.
Allgemein (22.01.15 - 07:31)
Warning great gift even if it is challenging, inside the app is also the most beautiful piano AppStore and however a fee and costs almost like the app.
But believe me who loves the piano will be amazed!

Allgemein (04.01.15 - 23:37)
- I can't select MIDI Sources, as Midi Bridge to use it with splitted keys along with other apps
- Program Changes sent from my floorboard (for selecting presets in Midi Bridge) are also received by Module and the sounds are being switched, too.
- Can't transpose the whole instrument - it would be possible if I could select an individual Midi-Source - such as Midi Bridge to pitch the whole instrument.
- Can't even select a single Midi Channel - Module receives Midi on ALL Channels at one time - no way to use it along with other apps on a different channel to be able to "swap" between different apps while playing by changing the Midi Channel from my Keyboard.

All in all I am very dissapointed and angry because the name and the price made me exspect a highly professional instrument and now I must see that it is far beyond cheaper apps from singular developers - there is NO WAY to use it on my upcoming tour in February - I lost many hours of frustrating attempts today to get it implemented into my live setting where I want to use different synths as iMini, Thor,Animoog, Yonac Galileo Organ AND Module. It all works EXCEPT Module - the most expensive App from all.

They should do some seroius upgrade or tell us if they are planning to sell their own controller keyboard here. This is not what people with a professional background exspect when they read the name Korg ! Sorry for being harsh here, but it is so frustrating - really.
(05.01.15 - 07:39)
Hey Marvin, I understand you're Angry , but did you go heavy on this wonder.
Perhaps implementations are a bit lacking, however keep in mind that it is the "king" of the pianos.
Maybe worth having a keyboard just for that, you can easily replace an electric piano level, is not a trivial matter.
In fact I think at least is my thought that every producer App musical level pulls water to his mill nice sense that everything revolves around their products.
Do you remember 20 years ago it cost a Synth even average?
Here's a comparison of how much money you saved.
Today just a really good master keyboard is a slave to do great things.
Ciao Marvin and luck ✨

Marvin, I saw just now that was released 04 jenuary a new update should also improve MiDi part, is the change midi, I do not know if you've tried
(05.01.15 - 10:37)
@Astrocat ✨✨✨:
thanks - just got the update - glad to see something is happening and I admit the sound being fantatstic - and this is the main reason for my anger because I'd love to play this live along with other apps. But except that midi implemention chart there still is no possibility to select specific midi channel or source ... an extra keyboard especially for Module is not solving the problem because one would need a second iPad - otherwise you'll have to close all other apps controlled via midi before using module. For using live I have to be able to keep different apps open in background, responding on different channels and keyzones via Midi Bridge - and it works with all apps except Module, Polysix, or MS-20 . It's all that way with apps from Korg - brilliant sound and ports from the originals - but no way to keep them open in background and running along with other apps. All that would be fixable if one could at least put it in order "behind" midi bridge - then one could select a specific channel from there ... this should be a piece of cake for the devs & my post here before was some time after I contacted them directly ... sad to see they're now aware of that elemental point ( it's named Module, and being used as one needs Midi Source Selection ! ) and all they give us is an implemention chart - not even learn function to keep things flexible. What if CC#11 (for master volume - as another workaround) on my Novation Launchkey is controlled by a the same knob I already use for Delay Send on 10 other apps already ? I'll have to repatch all other apps then to have at least one accessible button on stage to turn this little wonder into silent mode while playing other sounds. You see, the abilities are not giving what one exspects when seeing the name "Module". I will use my older second iPad probably especially for Module now - or switch back to IK's Grand and Electric Piano if they make it to finallly fix their Audiobus problem. Cheers Cat !

Good luck Marvin79, I am sure that with further update everything will become clear.
You re right about the fantastic sound. I have played with many different pianos and I have always said that there will never be able to emulate the keyboard, but I met this wonder and I have to be honest that is at par and beautiful sound sensations similar to be real piano.
We just have to wait for the progressive update of these apps important and I am sure that Korg will not disappoint.
Ciao Marvin79 always nice to discuss music with you!

The sound of the piano as in-App Synthogy Ivory and deep, has character, is a grand piano, I like to think that the sounds and samples in general.
In particular, they can always be overcome as quality, but I see it hard. This piano has wings and can fly and make a difference, especially when the harmony of its sound becomes so beautiful that makes music a play of emotions.

Allgemein (25.12.14 - 07:13)
I love the sound of the piano and the sound.
The piano than a keyboard is a keyboard has a soul.
Well in this App I found, certainly the most beautiful piano until now that I have met.
The sound really fills the dreams, closing his eyes seem to play a piano in a place away from time.
He has a chance to control sound incredible. And expensive that s true, but change your mind when you hear Nice App there are two grand pianos, electric one now is a gift, then there s really only one to € 17.99 but believe me I will take today.
To make the best use must be an external keyboard, and a small chance amplification worthy of this wonder !!!!

Oh look another KILLER product from Korg. Don't mind the downvoters (they're pre-iOS8 and can't use it). This integrates its sample pool with Gadget, and the 5 new gadgets in Gadget that each corresponds to the 5 modules in Module are a great addition to Gadgets sound arsenal (also beautifully designed gadgets). The IAP Ivory piano sounds really good, very expressive piano. At the intro pricing, this is all VERY cheap, relatively speaking. Great stuff.

The UI in Module could use a bigger keyboard overlay, a la iPolysix. The keys are just way too tiny. I know a midi keyboard is preferable, but personally I want both options to be there. Minor niggle for now tho..
(29.11.14 - 20:16)
Thanks Chris, comment always very accurate, Korg hardly missed a product, but tell me the piano, especially the electric one is really that good? Because sometimes emulations lose some, maybe they are still outstanding but do not have what I call the soul of the piano.
A thought to this App I can
(29.11.14 - 21:25)
@Astrocat ✨✨✨:
It's quite nice IMO (the IAP Wurley is free as into price btw). Might not capture the whole soul,every nock and cranny, of these electric instruments, like say a 7-10gb big desktop Kontakt library. But the samples are good enough IMO, and each module have their own engine tailored for the specific instruments with appropriate changeable parameters, to shape the sounds further.

The stock grand piano it comes with is good (given the size of the app). The clav and Organ modules are really good as well. The multi Module on the other hand contains really weak sounds, and isn't on the same level, quality wise, as the 4 other modules. Not sure what Korg was thinking with that module..
(29.11.14 - 22:28)
Thanks Chris from your words and really super. I'll do a thought. But sooner or later I will have If the piano sound is good, although the level is not the same for the multi module, do nothing. You've confirmed a great App Korg !!!
(30.11.14 - 03:21)
Wurly is free ? I got Module yesterday and also got the Ivory for a smaller price - I thought it would be the same with the Wurly ... Anyway great stuff but needs Midi Learn and Transpose Function ! Organ has no drawbars and due to missing midi learn that leslie can't be controlled via mod wheel for example - I wrote them and hope they hear me - maybe your advise as a beta tester can help ?
(30.11.14 - 04:11)
I didn't beta test this. I've made a few requests on Twitter to @korg_iapps & Korgs other Twitter accounts. I've gotten some answers back from korg_iapps saying good idea/they'll look at it, and so on. So they _are_ listening to user requests. Hopefully that means the things you mentioned will get implemented. I agree about everything, there are also things like stop missing in the organ.

On the whole a really good start, I think (hope) they'll adress most glaring issues in the first couple of updates (like they did with Gadget).
(30.11.14 - 04:18)
...just got that wurley - sounds so much cooler than the normal EP for my ears - anyway ... i found some midi implemention chart inside gadget when you load one of the expansion modules there and push that "function" button inside piano roll window - Damper = CC#64
ModFx Edit 1 = CC#12
ModFx Edit 2 = CC#13
AmbiFx Edit 1 = CC#16
AmbiFx Edit 2 = CC#17
Rotation = CC#100
Vibrato SW = CC#101
Vibrato Preset = CC#102
Drive = CC#103

And, yes , I exspect them taking notice from our feedback - gadget is becoming better in a very fast way because they do - with some audio tracks .... this could become a real flagship preproduction tool . Cheers !
(25.12.14 - 07:14)
Hi Chris from a piano I can not ask for more, I did not think so big !! Happy Xmas Chris

Sehr gute Klänge und einfach zu bedienen.

Korg App in bewährter Qualität.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung !!!
